When he is writing epic fantasy, Phil uses the pen name, P. D. Londra.
Phil read The Lord of the Rings when he was sick with the mumps for a week. It would be fair to say that Phil was always going to write epic fantasy, because it was that week drinking R Whites Lemonade with a head that felt like an over-inflated beach ball that he first decided to become a writer.
Phil grew up at a time when the current world of fantasy was just cutting its teeth. As such, he became a lover of the genre by reading the works of Gemmell, Feist, Hobb, and Pratchett, to name a few.
